Educational Grants Fundraising Campaign
To help us to fund our 2018 Educational Grants Programme we are running a JustGiving Crowdfunding Campaign. This enables us to send school supplies and monetary donations to girls and single mothers in Guyana to help them prepare for the 2018/19 academic year beginning in September 2018. Annual Wok Walk and Picnic (2018) – London
On 12 May 2018, we will host our annual fundraising walk. We are asking participants to walk from a point of their choice to Streatham Common which will be the final destination where we will be hosting a picnic. We want everyone to walk at least 10,000 steps and we will be checking phones or fitness devices to verify the goal. Sponsorship forms are available on request from firstname.lastname@example.org and sponsorship monies should be brought with you to the picnic!
Women of Kaieteur – Strength, Grace, and Endurance – Book 2
Building on the successful book 50 Women: 50 years published in 2016 we want to write another book showcasing resilient women. Similar to the last book we are asking women who want to be profiled to complete the form at http://bit.ly/WoKBook2. We can’t wait to hear your stories.
Women’s History Month 2018 – Phenomenal Women
During March 2018 which was Women’s History Month, we profiled inspirational and phenomenal women via our blog. We have also consolidated these profiles into a free publication the 2018 womens history month booklet
50 Women: 50 Years
In 2016 we published our first fundraising book profiling extraordinary Guyanese women. This book helps us to raise funds to help women and girls in Guyana. Please check it out and purchase a copy if you can.
